The industralist Rogelio Outeda Barreiro estimates in about 360,000 euros the losses that its company will suffer in 8 years as a result of recent forest fires. The fires devastated 495 Langstront beehives installed in diverse municipalities of Pontevedra region. Like the cattle producers, the Galician beekeepers also will be able to accede to the Galicia´s Xunta aids established to the affected ones by recent fires.

NEW RULES PROPOSED FOR CANADIAN ORGANIC FOODS
Proposed regulations for Canadian organic foods would increase the growing industry's export market access, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said on Friday. The federal food safety agency aims to establish the new rules by the end of 2006 when the European Union requires all countries exporting organic foods to its member countries be on an approved third-country list.
