5th AZERBAIJAN´S BEEKEEPING PRODUCTS EXPO-TRADE FAIR
According to Chingiz Farajov, Head of Azerbaijan`s Agriculture Ministry`s Department for Cattle Breeding Production and Processing, Livestock Breeding and Pastures told that 300 beekeepers from all regions of Azerbaijan including Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are expected to take part of the event.

BEES SHORTAGE IN NEXT SUMMER IN C USA
Bees used to pollinate almond and other trees died off during a heat wave this summer, which could lead to a shortage of the insects for next year's bloom, farmers said. About 120 growers met with A.G. Kawamura in Modestro California, state secretary of food and agriculture, this week to discuss the effects of July's heat wave on crops.

In the january-july period total honey exports US$ 10M (+18%) 6.267 Tons (+ 3%), average price ~US$ 1,600 per ton. Destinies : Germany 79%, Suitzerland 8%, Belgium 4%, France 3%, UK 2%, USA 2% and Italy 1%.

IN ISRAEL HALPH OF THE YEAR SALES ARE IN THE NEW YEAR TIMES
A Federation of Israeli Chamber of Commerce survey shows that New Year honey sales expected to top NIS 55 M (US$ 12.6M), about half of the sales for the year as a whole, which amount to NIS 110 million. In the month preceding New Year's 1,900 tons of honey are sold, 15% of which are in gift baskets. The average honey consumption per capita in israel is one half kilogram per year( 1.1 pound).
