ENGLAND- CAMPAIGN TO FORCE THE GOVERMENT TO ASSIGN FUNDS FOR BEEKEEPING
Most of Britain's honey bees could be wiped out by disease in 10 years, experts warned yesterday. Worried beekeepers are launching a nationwide campaign to force the government to fund a £8 million (US$ 16.2 M) research project which they say is needed to save the nation's bees.

USA- BEEKEEPING COURSE IN NEW YERSEY
Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station will offer a three-day beekeeping course next month, which will be held at the Rutgers EcoComplex in Mansfield. The state Department of Agriculture will provide $300 grants to the first 50 eligible people who sign up. The course, called ?Bee-ginner's Beekeeping,? is open to anyone who is interested. But the $300 will be available only to first-time beekeepers who are New Jersey residents, over 10 years old, and have successfully completed the course, Schuler said.
