BRAZIL- BEEKEEPERS RECEIVED THE APPROVAL FORM THE MUNICIPAL INSPECTION SERVICE
The Association of Beekeepers of Vera Cruz (Aapiverc) obtained the licence of the Municipal Inspection Service (SIM). The document settles the marketing of honey produced by the organization in local establishments, opening new possibilities as sail in markets, fairs and events, as well as characterize the origin and product quality.

BRASIL- COURSE TO CREATION OF STINGLESS BEES
The Association of Beekeepers and Meliponicultores Macapá (Apimac) starts next Monday, 05, in the auditorium of the State Secretariat for Rural Development, the course of implementation of stingless bees of the Amazon. The course will have 40 hours in the period of one week, and, between 5 to 8 of May the students will have teorical lessons, and in the last two days the course ends with a practical lesson.

USA- COLONY COLLPASE DISORDER INVADES UTAH BEE POPULATION
The mysterious Colony Collapse Disorder, which has led to the loss of millions of bees and in a worst-case scenario could be a threat to the food chain that humans depend on for life, has made its way to Utah. Gary Dutson is being confronted by the malady firsthand. Dutson, who lives outside Delta in eastern Utah, had built up his bee operation to 4,000 hives by last fall when colonies began dying off for no apparent reason. Within months, he lost half his bees in an inexplicable disaster not seen since his father began beekeeping more than 70 years ago.

MEXICO- 80% OF THE PUEBLA´S HONEY IS DESTINATED TO FOREIGN MATKETS
With an annual output of 3 thousand tons of honey, Puebla occupies seventh place in national production of honey, of which 80 percent is exported, said the secretary of Rural Development, Alberto Jimenez Merino, who noted that the spills that generates economic activity that exceeds 45 million pesos (U.S.$ 4.4 million). The state official added that this work is 100 percent family and has grown significantly to the good results which has left on arms exports.
