USA- HOW BEEWAX IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER WAXES ?
The term 'wax' traditionally refers to the stuff that bees make their honeycombs out of, but it has come to mean pretty much anything that shares similar properties. Waxes include carnauba wax, which comes from a plant and is popular in furniture and car polishes, beeswax, petroleum-based wax, and earwax !

GERMANY- SUSPENDED THE APPROVAL OF 8 PESTICIDES DUE TO A MASS DEATH OF BEES
The Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) has reportedly suspended the approval for eight pesticides after the mass death of bees in one state. The German Research Centre for Cultivated Plants reported that 29 out of 30 dead bees it examined in Baden-Wuerttemberg state had been killed by contact with clothianidin, a product found in one of the seed treatment products. The suspended products are: Antarc (ingredient: imidacloprid; produced by Bayer), Chinook (imidacloprid; Bayer), Cruiser (thiamethoxam; Syngenta), Elado (clothianidin; Bayer), Faibel (imidacloprid; Bayer), Mesurol (methiocarb; Bayer) and Poncho (clothianidin; Bayer).

ARGENTINA- HIGHER HONEY EXPORTS IN APRIL, LOWER IN CUMULTAIVE ANNUALLY
In April 7,886 tons were exported. (+ 73%) for a total of U.S. $ 20.17 million (+ 183%) at an average price of U.S. $ 2,558 per tonne (+ 63%). In the first quarter were exported 23,172 tons. BRAZIL- HONEY EXPORTS IN APRIL THE BEST IN 46 MONTHS
Exports of honey for the month of April, reached US$ 3.62 million, an increase of 73.3% in value and 58.2% by weight in comparison with the month of March. That was the biggest result of the last 46 months. The positive numbers also refer to the price of honey exported. In April, the average amount paid by the honey exports reached US$ 2,310 per ton. This is the best price paid in the last four years. From January to April, the income from exports was $ 9.86 million, an increase of 73.5% in comparison with the same period of 2007. And the quantities sold reached 4.83 million tons, an increase of 30.3%.
