USA- IDENTIFY MORE THAN 10% OF BEE SPECIES IN THE WORLD
An international team of scientists says it's identified nearly 19,500 bee species worldwide, which is about 2,000 more than previously estimated. The study included researchers from Australia, Brazil, Britain, Denmark, Japan, South Africa and the United States.

UGANDA- TRADERS PUSH FOR POLICIES TO REGULATE HONEY TRADE
Honey packers have urged government to formulate policies to regulate honey trade that is gaining momentum in Uganda's economy. The project Officer Strengthening Trade in Honey and Other Bee products, Mr Phillip Muwanika, said the trade won't develop without minimum packaging standards. 'People pack poor honey products with duplicated names that cannot be exported,' Mr Muwanika said. He said they need proper guidelines that can be followed by all honey producers and packers to boost trade.

GERMANY- 1.5 MILLON EUROS FOR APICULTURAL INVESTIGATION
