INDIA- COW URINE TO IMPROVE BEEHIVE SANITATION
A group of scientists discovered a rare and natural method to increase honey production. Normally, worker bees produce honey to feed the larvae. However, investigators found a high mortality rate of larvae due to bacteria, so it discovered that the larvae sprayed with cow urine, mortality fell and honey production increased. 'We used cow urine and we observed that over a period of 7 to 8 weeks, the larvae are healthier. Then the workers removed the diseased larvae and replace them with healthy larvae, 'said Ruchira Tiwari, a researcher at the University Gobind Vallabha Acharya of India.

USA- A BEE TRUCK RECEIVED A FREE UPDATE
One of Oklahoma's busiest bee trucks just got a sweet upgrade, courtesy of a Country Music Television show called 'Trick my Truck.? Buzz worthy 'Trick My Truck' Get a close look at beekeeper Gary Grose?s truck. Gary Grose, manager of the Tipton Valley Honey Co., owns the truck that received the improvements ? which included a wild honey-comb paint job and a crane to help him move bee hives and honey containers.

USA- APICULTURAL CONFERENCE IN SOUTH CAROLINA
The buzz around Marshall University this week will be about the importance of honeybees. About 300 beekeepers were expected to join 12 vendors and dozens more presenters at the Heartland Apiculture Society's annual conference starting Thursday in Huntington. Speakers will educate conference attendees about bees and stress their importance at a time when honeybee populations continue to decline, farmers face increased production costs and consumers could ultimately have to pay more for produce.

CHILE- APICULTURAL CONGRES IN CONCEPCION CITY

NICARAGUA- HAVE PLANS TO INCREASE ORGANIC HONEY EXPORTS
The project to improve organic production, driven by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IIC) and the cooperation of Austria, will finance the certification of 14 cooperatives producing organic honey. The certification will increase exports of the item, one of the newest in exportable supply of Nicaragua. The representative of the IIC in Nicaragua, Gerardo Escudero, announced that the IIC Project organist / Austria has decided to assume, just for this first year, the cost of organic certification, which has instructed the company Biolatina.
