BRAZIL- GOOD BEEKEEPING PRACTICES COURSE IN PARANA
Fifteen families from the municipalities of Irati, Fernandes Pinheiro and Rebouças participated in the day on July 31 and August 1 of the mini-course 'Good Beekeeping Practices' Unicentro. The event included a project entitled 'Expansion of sustainable technologies as a source of income for family farming region of southern Parana Center' and addressed issues relating to the rational practice of beekeeping in the diversification of rural property.

CUBA- MORE HONEY PRODUCTION IN SANCTI SPIRITU PROVINCE
Over 380 tons of honey accounted beekeepers in the province of Sancti Spiritus until July this year which represents about 52 per cent over compliance with the plan until that period. According to Lazarus Bruno Garcia, director of the Provincial Apícola Company, the best results of the territory are identified in the municipalities belonging to the Turquino Plan which collected nearly 160 tons of the product and also over compliance in the deliveries of wax and propolis.

USA- BEES DISAPPEREANCE IN MISSOURI
A number of Missouri's honey-producers are dealing with a mysteries labor shortage. Bees are disappearing from dozens of hives, apparently randomly. But when one honey producer loses hundreds of colonies of bees, the producer could be losing some big money. The disappearances are called Colony Collapse Disorder, part of a national trend first noticed by the federal agriculture department about 25 years ago. The bees just disappear.

SPAIN- DIED LESS BEES IN CASTILLA & LEON
According to the head of beekeeping sector of COAG Salamanca, Jose Luis González, this campaign is recorded in a single positive, falling 'syndrome desabejamiento', which is the disappearance of worker bees without which the hive can not live. This year mortality stands at 5%, while the average dragged since 2005 was above 40%.

ARGENTINA- APPROVES FUNDS TO INSTALL A HONEY FRACTIONING PLANT
