ARGENTINA- APICULTURAL COURSE IN CORRIENTES PROVINCE
At the headquarters of the Ministry of Production, the Directorate of Primary Production and Natural Resources of communication and cooperation Apícola Goya on Thursday signed a Framework Agreement for the realization of a course on living material and for the delivery of nuclei to producers in the region. Of the signing, attended by the head of the Directorate of Primary Production, Argentine Diego Ojeda accountant and president of the entity which brings together producers bee Goya, Juan Carlos Pitton. The first day of the workshop will be held on Saturday, August 30, at the Centre Community integration (CIC) from the northern zone, from 9 am.

BRAZIL- INCENTIVATES THE HONEY PRODUCTION IN THE SOUTH OF THE PIAUI STATE
Nearly 49 communities in the municipalities of micro region Simplício Mendes will be the beneficiaries of the projects of the Program to Combat Rural Poverty (PCPR), which will promote increased production by improving the structure of the houses of honey and expanding the number of hives. The intention is to strengthen the productive chain of honey, which has wide acceptance in the international market.

BRAZIL- TECHNICIANS GIVE TRAINING TO HONEY PRODUCERS

The briefings will take place in four stages. Nearly 20 people are participating.

CANADA- NO MORE FREE HONEY SAMPLES
A Guelph beekeeper has been ordered by the Toronto Board of Health to stop giving out samples at his Canadian National Exhibition booth. The board says eating anything in the same area as animals is a public health risk. Tibor Szabo is allowed to sell the sealed jars of amber and gold honey that line his booth in the farm building, which hosts pigs, horses and other animals and smells like a barn. He just isn't allowed to open them to give out samples. And there's nothing stopping people from bringing food into the area and eating it there.

USA- FIND A PARASITE THAT AFFECTS SOCIAL BEHAVIOS OF NOCTURNE BEES
Studies conducted by researchers at the University of Washington and the Tropical Research Institute found that a kind of parasite is affecting the social behavior of bees night that inhabit the coast of Costa Rica and Panama. This is a fly larva that 'steals' food for bees immature developing in which one lives. O'Donnell and his colleagues studied two species of tropical social bees, Megalopta genalis and Megalopta Ecuadorian, and a family of parasitic flies called Chloropidae very small.
