The scientific study of beekeeping enhance the development of the activity in the rugged Alagoinha and the North Coast of Bahia. The installation of laboratory to study the bees (COL is governed by an agreement between the State University of Bahia (UNEB) and the company Bahia Pulp. The studies are intended to improve by 2010, the quality of honey production and derivatives, which now includes 900 families of beekeepers, who work in the land of the company.
